Butter Pecan Brownies

These Butter Pecan Brownies will surprise you! When I first saw this recipe, I did not have high expectations, but WOW! These brownies are dense and gooey and have a wonderful buttery pecan taste! I will certainly be making these again!

Meet My Kitchen Assistants Kendall and Jessica



Bottom Layer

  • 1 (18oz) box of butter or yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 large egg


  • 3 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 (8oz) package of softened cream cheese
  • 1 cup pecans

The top and bottom layers


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees (if using a dark pan reduce the temp to 325 degrees)
  2. Mix first three ingredients together and press into a prepared 9×13 pan
  3. Place the cream cheese, powdered sugar, melted butter and eggs into a bowl and beat until smooth
  4. Pour cream cheese mixture on top of the bottom layer
  5. Sprinkle with pecans
  6. Bake for 50 minutes or until done
  7. Cool completely and cut into bars

Place into the over for approximately 50 minutes
